White Chocolate Toffee Breve Coffee Recipe (Hot Coffee Drink)

Ingredients:

1 oz English Toffee Syrup

Espresso (your choice of number of shots)

Cream or Half and Half

2 tsp Powdered White Chocolate (you can use white chocolate syrup also)

How to Make a White Chocolate Toffee Breve:

  1. Find your favorite mug and pour in 1 oz English Toffee Syrup.
  2. Add Espresso - one to two shots, depending on your preference.
  3. Stir to mix.
  4. Fill almost to the top with foamy, steamed Cream or Half. Half making sure to leave enough room to add 2 tsp Powdered White Chocolate.
  5. Give it a stir to mix in the powder and you are ready to enjoy!

This White Chocolate Toffee Breve Recipe was my own creation... well at least I didn't use a recipe when making it. I was looking for something a little different than the regular mocha and not too sweet but rich and creamy.

Low Carb, Low Calorie Coffee Version

For those trying to cut down on sugar and carbs, you don't have to give up your daily ritual. Although staying in shape is a goal, I am not willing to give up on flavor so I use sugar free Toffee Syrup and sugar free White Chocolate Powder. It is amazingly delicious and it is one of my regular coffee indulgences without the guilt!

The white chocolate powder I prefer is White Velvet by Gosh That's Good. It adds a little depth to the taste when you are using the sugar free syrups.

Low Carb, Low Sugar, Low Fat Version

I know what you are thinking.....why bother? Well, some of us are trying to be more health conscious and are willing to give a little to get a lot.  I am not willing to give up much on flavor but do like the idea of cutting fat and sugar.

It all started when I hit an age where the weight started creeping up on me. Since I sit at a desk all day, I realized I wasn't getting enough exercise so I started working out at a gym. That got me toned, but the weight (or overweight) still was clinging on.  I had to  analyze my calorie and fat intake and try to make adjustments.

Well, I love coffee drinks that are sweet, rich and creamy and I wasn't going to give them up but...have you ever looked at the fat and calorie content in your favorite coffee drinks? Ouch!

After experimenting and many dissappointments, I finally found a great balance between healthy and taste. I make my coffee drinks with:

  • Fat free powdered milk
  • Powdered white chocolate (I use "Gosh that's good" brand)
  • Fiber powder

Now, I'm not going to lie.....this is not as good as the calorie and fat layden version but it is good and do-able.

Look at the difference:

Regular coffee drink vs. healthier version

640 calories vs. 56 calories

42 fat vs. 2 fat

26 sat fat vs. 2 fat

55 carbs vs. 8 carbs

39 sugars vs. 2 sugar

0 fiber vs. 3 fiber

If you drink more than one coffee a day.....it really adds up. Give it a try and see, the taste difference is minimal compared to all the fat and calories you will save. It is truly worth it.

Added Fiber Coffee Version

For any dieters or for those that want to add more fiber to their diet you will want to try this: The second day of drinking this wonderful coffee beverage and I decided to get even more creative. I added 2 tsp of non-flavored sugar free fiber powder and it did not alter the taste!

This means that you can get 3 grams of additional fiber in your coffee each day easily without compromising on flavor. So, go ahead and have a great tasting and healthy White Chocolate Toffee Breve!

Fiber powder in coffee...what a great idea! I just started the Dukan Diet and have to cut carbs and fat. This recipe is perfect with the sugar free syrup. I found a low carb sugar free white chocolate and just skip the cream. It is fantastic and the added fiber helps with weightloss. You can use this with any coffee drink! Thanks again.

This is a great coffee recipe! I have been hooked on it since I tried it.
I also love the idea of putting fiber powder in my coffee. I thought that it would make the coffee taste different, but it did not! Now I drink delicious coffee and get my fiber too. Great idea!
