Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central ReviewPriced around $65.00 - $75.00 The Cuisinart DCC-1200 is a coffee machine that gives you ability to control and fine tune your coffee making experience. It has a clean look and comes in both a stainless steel finish (pictured above) and a matte black finish. The DCC-1200 comes with a charcoal water filtration system so ensure that you start with the freshest tasting water possible. It also has a temperature control for the warming plate to keep your brewed coffee at an accurate and precise temperature thus avoiding that common burned taste. It has a feature for impatient coffee drinkers, allowing you to grab a cup prior to completing the whole brewing process. Moreover, you can program your coffeemaker to serve up a fresh coffee automatically exactly how you want it and when you want it. In addition, this coffeemaker also features an auto shut off function for those who are in a hurry and/or forgetful. Cuisinart has tried to cover almost all the necessary functions in this coffee machine. The DCC-1200 coffee maker combines an excellent design along with easy to use features that will help you simply and efficiently produce a tasty and aromatic cup of coffee. Features of the DCC-1200 Coffeemaker:
PROSFor the price of this machine it is packed with special features such as water filtration, gold filter, and it is fully programmable. Many adjustments allow you to be in more control of your coffee experience and the heating plate with temperature control mean that you won’t have burnt coffee and it will be good to the last drop. Quiet when you want it to be. This machine runs very quiet for a coffee machine and only “beeps” or alerts you when your coffee is ready or just before it turns off. CONSThe Water Reservoir is hard to reach and see. It is located in the back of the coffee machine and some consumers say that it is awkward to use and the opening is too small. No water indicator. The only way that you can check the water level is to pull out the machine, lift the lid and look inside the reservoir. Consumers feel that this should be easier. The small hole in the center of cone-shaped coffee reservoir only disperses a small water pattern, some claim that this means that only a portion of your coffee actually gets brewed and may make the coffee taste weak. Consumer Reviews of the Cuisinart DCC-1200Overall, for your money the Cuisinart DCC-1200 is a good looking and easy to care for machine made of solid construction. It produces a good cup of coffee that stays the exact temperature you desire. One consumer stated that “The coffee was amazing. I am not new to coffee either. I worked for Starbucks (with 80 hours of training on coffee) and have been enjoying all sorts of coffee for years. We have an espresso maker, a French press (actually two), and even a stove top espresso brewer and this tops it all. The coffee is perfect.” The water reservoir is not easy to fill. There is not an outside indicator, and although you could use the carafe to measure, the opening for the water is too small. It is difficult to pour in to using the carafe. I use my sink extension hose for filling. If this sounds like and important issue for you, you may want to look around. Otherwise, I could not recommend it more highly..in spite of this design flaw. Cuisinart DCC-1200 Product ReviewCuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central comes highly recommended by most the consumers that purchased this model. Cuisinart is known for quality and has provided superior brewing technology. The overall look of the coffeemaker is simplistic and clean. Cuisinart has also made both the stainless-steel and matte black models easy to keep clean and stay clean. This coffeemaker has some of the best features for flexibility and ease of use when compared to other models in its price range. From being able to set programmable brewing start time to automatic shut off, this coffee machine is ready when you are and you will never have to worry if you turned the machine off. The DCC-1200 also addresses the two most common complaints “how do I get it fast” by the pause and pour feature; and “how do I keep it from tasting burnt” with the temperature controlled warming plate.
